Last two days of school!

Field days were awesome!!!

When we retuned back, we watched a Ted talk about bees and why they use a hexagon shape for their honey.

After morning meeting, we had fun with our k-buddies outside! We made them bookmarks and they did the same for us!

We got together with Mr Botzorjorns class to watch the Bee Movie! It connects to our interdependence unit.

On our last day, we spent some calm time thinking about fun moments with each other. We each wrote a positive comment on our classmates stars from our first bulletin board of the school year. We put these in our report card envelope to keep. We can reflect on these positive words in the future when life gets challenging. It will help us use positive self talk.

We completed our last writers notebook entry as a fourth grader! We reflected on our experiences this school year.

Happy last day!!!

Week of June 9

This is Sydney reading her speech for the wax museum. We spent time practicing on Monday.

This is Nolan's wax museum corner. He's snowflake Bentley.

This is Nicholas. He's Chester A. Arthur.

Nate's John LeClair.

Mike Is Ira Allen.

Maddy's Katherine Patterson. This is her wax museum corner.

On Thursday Mr. Goerge Till and Mr. Bill Frank came to our classroom to talk to us about our bills that we wrote to them.

The bill was passed that if the police see a person smoking and a child under age 18 in a car then that person will get a ticket. Also the governor is going to be singing the bill today "only use hand free devices in cars"

We signed two petitions so that they can be reelected and have their name on the ballot on the first Tuesday in November.

Our class was successful in our argument papers because many of the bills we supported passed! Taylor said, " I never thought I could do it! Even kids have the power!"

Troy,Abbey, and Bella are working on hands on algebra. We used a balance scale and pawns to solve for the missing variable.

Friday is Freaky Friday! We get to teach Mrs. Randall all day!!! Bella and Avrie and Julia are the readers workshop teachers.

Mrs. Randall was very proud of her math work today! After a fabulous math lesson taught by Mr. Borsch, she worked in her knowledge map in Khan Academy.

These are the badges she earned!

Great team work during math block!

We surprised Mrs. Randall with a card we made and a gift card to Pheonix Books!

Mrs. Mccuin brought in Ben and Jerry's ice cream for Kayla's last day!

Have you seen our bulletin board? Mrs. Randall read a book to us and we wrote a piece on our hot air balloon.

It was a very fun week!!!

Field trip -end of year adventure!

We are on the bus heading to Mount Independence and Fort Ticonderoga.

Emma is dancing to the song "Timber".

We are going on trails at Mount Independence. We learned a lot about how hard life was during the Revolutionary War.

This is Fort Ticonderoga.

We had a great view across Lake Champlain!

We went in the museum and saw A LOT of stuff. We had to figure out if our items belong to the British or the American.

This is a sculpture of Ethan Allen at Fort Ticonderoga.

Ethan Allen.

The Fort.

Have a great Friday!!!
