Week of September 27, 2015
You can never have too many celebrations! We had a class celebration for exceeding our PAWs points last week- we had extra recess. We also celebrated Adrien! He finished division on Fastt Math! In addition, we had our class publishing party!!
Family math challenge! It's a fun one! Ask us about it!
Self-reflection- we spent time reflecting on our hopes, dreams, strengths, and challenges. We planned for our student-led conference.
We brought books to read on the bus ride to the Flynn.
Wondering Wednesday! We each planned how we wanted to use an hour. We filled out a form that housed our question, plan, resources and next steps. Some things we wanted to learn are; how to code, connect with Antarctica, figure out what makes the woman's US soccer team special, and so much more!
There are quite a few book selfies on our big read box bulletin board! Here is a new one!
This week we focused on peer conferences to gain feedback for final revisions. After, we went back to our narrative checklist and added some parts.
Our publishing party! Mrs. Randall brought in sparkling apple cider, cookies and new books for us! We each picked our favorite line in our narrative to share.
Cheers!
Mystery Skype! We had another mystery Skype today! It was so cool to meet kids from Texas! They told us how hot it was, that their school has air conditioning, and they have many tornados!
This team is using Google Maps to figure out our next question to ask so we can figure out the state and town.
