Week of April 6, 2015

Today we read a text called " Now let me fly". We are deepening our understanding by determining what's important in the text we are reading. Keep up on the good notes readers!

One of our reading groups presented today. Their book was called "states of matter"!

When we are in book club, we use helpful bookmarks that have sentence starters for us to use.
We Went on a virtual field trip!! Ask us what we learned about biomes!
Amos has finished multiplication in fastt math! Keep up the good work!
We had one control ice cube and one where we changed one variable. Some groups used heat lamps or a hair dryer to speed up the melting of an ice cube!
 

Our 2nd POD. We were tracking money raised for each mile run.

Using a visual model to multiply, add or subtract fractions is helpful!

This writer is using a mentor text to inspire her craft! She is creating an author's note for her informational piece. She is also using her skill as an artist to use visuals to teach about grey wolves.

In math block, we played a game called Factor Bingo!

This is one strategy we reviewed from earlier in the year. We are finding double-digit multiplication easy to solve!

Using cluster problems helps use work more efficiently. We use what we know and make connections to solve.

Science teams met and discussed our data from our science lab earlier in the week. We used sentence frames to help us write strong conclusions.

Here is our end of the year project for all fourth graders. It's called the lip dub. Each of us will pick out a song, one of the songs will be picked.
