Week of March 7

 Lily got chosen to be published by the VT young writers project.  That means that one of her stories was put in the news paper!

Over vacation Mrs.Randall read 10 chapter books and finished all of them!  So now we have even more books for our class library!  Some of the books are...13 Gifts! Just In Case, and Phinius McGuire Gets Slimed.

Mr.Lane had a previous student from the high school here to see what it's like to be a school counseler.

The Fastt math reviewAbby has finished multiplication!

Lily has finished Fastt Math entirely!

Cooper has finished subtraction!

Read Aloud-Some thingschool observeing to see what upstairs by Avi.                                                                                                                Rite now Calub (a ghost murderd a young slave) is trying to convince Kenny (main carictor) to go back to the past again to find his assassin.Kenny goes to the historical library to look at old news papers to see if one would say who his assassin and he did but it didn't say his assassin but they knew it wasn't the owner of Calub because he was out of the house at the time.When Calub was murderd he was alone in the house.Kenny and Calub are back in Calubs time spying on people talking about slaves.

In social studies we did a medium hard quiz but it was still fun and a very hard cross word puzzle that I'm still doing as I type!  But again it's still fun.  I like challenges.

The POD was kind of hard but Ms.Minor helped 


We played Battle Ship on the white board projector for intervention.  Mrs. Randall chose review equations for us.  We did well!



Our total for big change round up is $398.54!  Thank you for helping us raise money for the Vermont Children's Hospital!

In reader's workshop, we practiced using the strategy synthesize.  We discussed political candidates!


 We Skyped for our project- Where in VT are you?  We found a school in Grand Isle!

 

 

 This week's Weekly Reader!  One hot topic we discusses is, "Should college athletes be paid?". What do you think?I think yes because maybey they need to pay more for college.Also they play really hard and and just deserve a thank you for winning and practicing hard to get their college full of kids because of their great couches for more athletes to come.

 

 The JES T-Shirts are on sale!  The three colors are orange blue and red.  Congrats Cortland on being choosen for the picture on the shirt!
