Week of April 13, 2015

This week we started off with a decent start, our new MML is Amos.

In math we kept on focusing on cluster problems to help our minds process multiplying larger numbers. Such as: 30*8 and 30*10 to figure out 30*18, or we use area models.

Pod- using an organized list

In read aloud we are reading Pay It Foward, ask your child about the theme on the book.

In Four winds we talked about maps and how to use a compass. We went outside after the pupet show.

This week's highlights have been- four winds, making QR codes, our debate and reading.

You took a selfie without us?! Traitors...

A math discussion- support crew teaches and guides. Great questioning!

This week we worked on our informational pieces about something we know a lot about. Then after we posted QR codes on the wall, come check them out!

After we did our QR codes, we checked out each other's QR codes And learned from each other.

Book club- they have been discussing the theme of this book. Stay true to yourself and don't change to fit in.

In Reading we focused on the revolutionary war. Cool facts really.

At lunch some 8th graders ( mrs. Randall's old students) from brms, presented books they made in class.

Soon we will be Hatching Chicks!!!!!! Mrs. Randall will pick up the fertilized eggs from UVM on the 27th.

In science we focused on which melts faster: salt on ice, sand on ice or ice alone?

Current events!

This week's reader is mainly about the changes in space that happen to you. Twin brothers are investigating the affects of living in space for a year.

#boss Have a great vacation!
