Week of Monday Jan 9

Doing our math review 
  • We had extra read aloud.
  • In gym we did circus 
  • In math we did a review game to help with with our traditional algorithm for subtraction problems.
  • Some of us went to work with Ms. Minor, our student teacher. We also had an end of unit assessment on traditional algorithm and left to right strategy.  We started our new unit -fractions and decimals.

  • Emaligh,Emma,and Mia did a readers theater in click clack moo cows that type.  In writing we looked at bench mark pieces to help us write our "Legacy" piece.  Everyone has done a nice job with their interviews!
  • We spent writing time conferencing on our interview pieces.

  • In science we went over Mr.Botzorjorn's class data from their science experiment.
  • It was our reading check point for the 25 plus club.  Mrs.Randall gave everyone a new book and bookmark!

Tuesday Jan 3


  • We had all school morning meeting
  • In math some of us played Division Quizmo. 
  • We started our Heath class unit on drugs and mediction. We learned the four categories of drugs and medicon.
  • We continued our math unit on fractions and decimals.
  • In Social studies we continued our govermont and economy unit
  • Wednesday
  • We had a sub named Mrs.Thompson because the fourth grade teachers wanted to see Mrs. Randall teach.
  • In math we played a fun review game during Math intervention game
  • In our fraction unit we continued dividing rectangles.
  • In guidance we did circle of supports where we write down 1-4 of people we would talk to about our problems.
  • For writing Mrs.Randall came to our classroom for the teachers to see how her teaching skills were.  The lesson was fun!  
  • In health class we Looked at different kinds of medicine.
  • Ms. Minor taught a fun lesson on the three branches of government!  
  • Thursday
  • Health class-we talked about how bad smoking is for you.
  • We had Art- we painted whatever we wanted.  I painted a fish.
  • Friday
Ceilidh and Mrs.Randall met to load some new books onto their Nooks!  Ms. Minor was sad...she doesn't have one.

Ms. Minor taught a lesson on the branches of government.
