Week of Oct. 29

We are talking with a NASA Scientist to find out about asteroids. We Skyped him! We found it funny that asteroids are just lumpy shapes.

We didn't have school on Tuesday due to hurricane Sandy.

Mrs Randall started a new book called The Circuit. It is a memoir about a family traveling to California from Mexico.

At guidance mr. Lane talked about feelings.

We earned our paws points so we watched a movie about the solar system.

We are working on mini research projects. This is a picture of a science notebook. We are researching different topics.

Each of us changed one variable to test.

Bumpy surface.

A slope

Working on our Friday Morning POD. We are using the strategy-make a picture or diagram.

At math we are solving division stories.

We are celebrating Jackson's birthday by eating BIG cupcakes.

On Friday we eat lunch in our classroom. We get to eat with friends anywhere in the classroom.

We discussed the news articles in our Weekly Reader, used the digital version, and learned about the different question types. Some questions you use the text-right there or think and search or on my head-author and me or on my own.

Have a good weekend!

JP and Skyler
