Monday
We got to chose what we want on the math menu. This is what we came up with:
Muggins is a fun math game we added. In this game we are putting together different equations.
Multifactor is another math game that helps us with multiples.
This group is playing Counting the Tape to work on multiplication and supporting your thinking with evidence.
This group is playing a Quizmo game focusing on geometry! This is our current unit of study.
Mr. Bouchard and Mrs.Rinheart came in today for math.
At snack Megan, Lucas and Sam D went to read to their K-buddy's.this is the book Sam D read to Gunnther.
Today Mrs. Randall read yesterday I had the blues.
We did a writing piece about how we felt Monday morning and what color matched your mood.
We watched a video in social studies about how our state and local government works and got a booklet called Under the Golden Dome.

In math we discussed if a square is a rectangle or if rectangle is a square.
We continued to work on page 30-32.
After that we played quizmo.
It was fun and we had many "QUIZMO"s
Our class took a test about what a quadrilateral is.
A scientist came to JES and we got to listen to what she does. She works with emotions. She tests things on kids. Her name is Jamie.
We tested how many Beats per minute our heart beat.
Mr. Lane came in today for guidance .
We did a free write today. Mrs. Randall taught a lesson on how writers use voice. She read the book The Frog Principal. It was funny! After, we wrote with our voice to continue the story.
We explored our Under the Golden Dome books for our VT studies!
Mrs. Randall gave a challenging POD on Thursday! It took us a long time to work. We all showed preservance because we didn't give up! We used the strategy guess, check, think and revise.
This is us working hard!We went to the computer lab and a new site called kidsperasion 3. it was a fun. :)
We had a guest teacher she used to work in middle school. Her name is zieiemski.
The whole class played geometry quizmo.
Mrs. Randall came in a little before 11:00 for reader's/writer's workshop. She read an informational text called Surprising Sharks. It was so good! We noticed that she had strong voice that was engaging and gave us new information about sharks. After, we brainstormed what we were passionate about and/or knew a lot about and practiced using voice and Nicola Davie's authors craft to write a non-fiction piece.
We got a new weekly reader this week it's tell you to stand up for people that are getting bullied.
