Week of Dec. 17

We played a hockey game in gym

In math a group measured the hallway to see how long 100 feet is

 

Also in math we found out how long our spam is a spam is from your thumb to pinkie .

Fact to know- if you wanted to measure a raisin use a centimeter

Today kieley and jorden p read to their kindergarten buddy.

These are the books they are bringing .

Finally we did our social studies assessment on VT geography.

After we were done with the assessment if you finished early you could write in your notebook.

 

Some people were still finishing up the assessment

 

At the end of the day we did a skype with people in Windsor that lived in the pomfret town

Then they asked us questions to find where we live like we did to them right before.

We are getting better at finding where people live on our Skype

After we had time so we worked on our 10 riddles for VT geography.

In math we worked on page 14 in unit 4

Then we worked on a page called power polygons with our family.

 

It was fun

 

At snack Skyler shared his me bag

In whole school meeting we sang a bunch of songs

They were good songs and got us in a good mood

In reading we filled out a work sheet if you had not done it before so we could expand our vocabulary.

In library some people are reading DCF books . some people almost have 10 or 5 like Sadie , Mia , Taylor and Megan have almost 5 or 10 DCF books that they have read . These are some of the books they have read

We did authors chair instead of read aloud there were good stories these are some of them

In social studies we finished our riddles that we made for Vermont

In music we listened to the nutcracker and saw a slide show of it.

We talked about our home work the night before

At reading we decided who would be in a play that was in our weekly reader

Now it's WONDERING Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The question for today....Is air matter?

Some people will do it on Thursday because not every one can do it at once

It's "I wonder...Wednesday"! We did a fun air investigation to find out if air is matter.

In math we made our own tangrams
