Week of March 5th-short week!

Week of March 5th 2014

On Wednesday in writing workshop we worked on a word choice stamp.

In social studies we talked about the Golden Dome and the the Balance of Power.

In reading whe are taking a closer look into our weekly reader. Can you believe this kid made his own hand out of a printer?

We are also taking a closer look at our representatives George Till and William Frank. This is a game Mrs. Randall made for us.

This is Nolan's tagxedo pieces. We are organizing our words for display.

We worked with a buddy to dig deeper into two articles. In one we plotted data to create a line graph. We then noticed how changes have effected the ivory hunt.

Today in guidance we played a game on based on problems and trying to beat the record for working together and not balming.

This is Nicholas working on spelling city during word work.

Taylor is working on a biography about a boy who was born in the renaissance era on Edmodo.

Katelyn and Emma are buddy reading Wood Song as a little book club.

In writing we talked about the senators and the representatives of Vermont. We used a fun graphic organizer to house our information about job criteria for each branch of government.

Today we Skyped Browns River middle school mr. Lee who is the tech ed teacher. Mrs. Randall asked him to Skype us today and share the 3-D printer they have. We made connections between the news article we read and they programs they use. The plastic they use is glow in the dark. It's the same material used to make Legos!

We checked each other's homework on Friday and discussed marvelous math criteria!

Have a good weekend!

Justin and Abbey
