Week of February 8, 2016

One of the beautiful chandeliers at the State House.

We talked to our guide about the state houses and the 3 branches of government.

Governer Anna signed our bill as we learned about the stages (and acted them out) of how a bill becomes a law.

We stand in front of the State House after our tour!

Anna V. was are governor and signed our bill.

This is a civil war painting that is in the main hall of the State House.

We met Governor Peter Shumlin in the hallway! He is a very busy worker.

We felt real animal pellets in a wigwam.

Waiting for the train!

We learned about the morse code and how it works.
We explored industries in Vermont and their history.

This building is a model of a nineteen forties home in World War 2.

This is the House. This is where the bills are passed and turned into laws.
We choose an issue, and pretended that we were the senates discussing weather we would turn it into a bill that the House would turn into a law.
This is a real bill that is being discussed currently.
This desk was signed by each senater that sat at that desk.

We played government jeopardy in social studies.

We watched a video about kindness.

We painted rocks that had an inspiring phrase or word on it. We keep them on our desk for encouragement.

We had a class PAWS celebration and played together outside!
Our K Buddy class came in and we read a book to them, exchanged cards, did JAMS, and they taught us a song.

We had a awesome time listening about learning about how bills become laws.

We have many more pictures! We will make a video and share them next week!
