Week of April 4, 2016

We read our book and wrote on a sticky note what literary device was in our book.
Two Vermont poems we used as a benchmark.

More book selfies this one is about the book Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics. Don't forget that the next 25 + club check point is for 20 books and it is on April 29, keep reading !!!
We talked about the different points of view the British and the colonists had during the war.
Noticing different info from different author's.

Our final literary essay will be focused on comparing and contrasting texts.
Staying up to date on current events with the weekly Scholastic reader.

A sneak peak of our perpspectives presentations about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.

Preparing for a debate about whether we can use what we have been learning about the past to make decisions today. What do you think?

Building a Great Wall of Base 10!

Writing Vermont inspired poetry!
A special surprise during break! We watched The Sneetches by Dr Seuss after having read so many of his books.

Have a great weekend,
Evan and Anna V.
