We had 4 winds and we investigated skulls of carnivores, herbivores, omnivorous, and insectivores
We discovered what animal the skull we were assigned to belonged to.
Skulls
We tested all our different teeth and how they are used by eating certain foods
Mrs. Randall read us "The Day the Crayons Quit". We noticed voice and strong arguments.
In writing we tried to wrap up our opinion pieces with a to do list. We are independent writers!
Mrs. Randall also read us a book about refugees called "Stepping Stones". Life do a Syrian refugee is difficult.
It's important to be kind.
In reading we studied the craft, goal, and how it made us feel about our book and author.
We looked at where droughts most oftenly occur. We also learned how to be a critical reader when we research.
We got a new science book from Berkeley called "lives of the Scientists
We asked questions about our science projects and some people even experimented
Mrs. Randall's reading groups discusses "The Nature Of Matter"
In math, we compared sets of data
We shared what we learned by making a representation for our data and wrote conclusions. We thought what was most important about our data.
We played "The Ball Game" Mrs. Randall and Peter were the finalists (Mrs. Randall won)
We are learning about life as a refugee I n our read aloud book "Home of the Brave".
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
