Week of September 17, 2012

Today we played indoor soccer in P.E., played a cool math game in math, and worked on our bio-poems.

We watched a cool video about the two rovers on Mars. With this new knowledge, we created our own rovers in our science notebook. We created a diagram and presented what it can do.

In the lab we learned how to create a Google Doc.

Got to pick our first library books of the year

Hat day because the school reached the positive goal.

Finishing our me posters. They are hanging in our classroom and look great!

In math we got on khan academy and played math games

Reviewing our math problem from last night homework

Watching video in guidance

Graphed multiplication assessment

Did an empathy project to practice starting a conversation and how to best give compliments.

Practiced solar system models with our families. Each small group is creating a mini-presentation to show how and why we have day and night.

We finished our read aloud book, The Hot and Cold Summer! We really liked it. Did you know that in our school library, you could find the second book?

This is us listening to read aloud on hat day!

In math intervention block, we worked with Mrs. Randall using the iPad app Screenchomp. We created videos to show our math thinking and challenged each other to solve multiplication problems that needed to be broken down.

We have been reading some cool non-fiction books! Next week the fiction part of our class library will
be open.

Kipp was our student of the week! He shared his "me bag" during morning meeting

This is the me bag that Kipp put his things that he shared in.

We had classroom cafe.

Have a good weekend! Sam.d and Lucas
