Week of September 24

Monday:

In math today we found the factors of 100 then used that knowledge to do the same with 200.

We started word study today.

We made a planed our news papers and will hopefully finish by the end of the month.

In science we picked a question to find the answer to. My question is what color is the Sun?

Tuesday

We found the factors if 300 and than compared 100, 200 with 300 from yesterday

We played games in math

Our class family's chose numbers to find the factors. Some examples are: 400, 700,600, 500, 800 and even 1000!

In reading today our class read and did word study.

We continued to read our read aloud book titled Elephant in the Garden by Michael Morpurgo. It's really good so far!

The class continued to find facts about our topics on our science question.

Wednesday

During math we solved problems in our work books and had our weekly multiplication test.

In guidance we worked in partners doing senarious to show empathy.

In readers workshop, we continued to practice talking back to the book using post-it notes. We also learned about a second way to respond to text. In addition to giving a book talk, we can write a book review and it could be published in the Weekly Reader magazine!

We shared our facts that we learned also.

Thursday

We had two Me Bags today: Kiely and Mrs. Reinhardt.

We read our weekly reader.

We watched James try to join a group.

We had elf. It was taught by Judy and Monic. We learned about insects. We watch a puppet show and did a puzzle and went outside to collect bugs.

Friday

In math we reviewed math problems from last night.

WE GOT K- BUDDies TODAY!( We are so-o-o excited!)

We also had P.E. and Spanish.

We got our "Cheetah den" up. I love it! We will be putting up pictures of all fourth graders on it.

 

 

Good-bye James! Good luck to you in New Hampshire! We will miss you!
