Week of October 1, 2012

For problem of the day, we continued to practice using the strategy of act it out or use objects to help us solve.

In math block Ms. Reinhart came in to work with us on using models to show our thinking. We used unifix cubes and arrays to show how the factors of 16 are also factors of 48.

This is our new fourth grade cheetah poster. We are adding pictures of all fourth graders!

We got new seats in our classroom. We are now in two columns.

Doing smart moves. These Brain Puzzles help warm up so we can do our best work!

Today we did hard math problems where we had to show evidence to support our thinking.

Today some people shared their newspaper article that they wrote.

We learned that you should always use evidence when you are trying to show your work .

Searching for more evidence

We are working on our news story. It is part of our big newspaper!

We are working on problem of the day which we call p.o.d.

This is someone's notebook cover and we are working on them : turn you head if you would like to see the Picture :)

Today we went to the computer lab and we had fun!

Some of us are doing the DRA test.

Mrs.randall showed us her writer's notebook. She gave us each one! We are creating our front covers now.

In Mrs. Randall's math intervention block, we used fun math apps to practice our multiplication facts.

This is an example of a data table. We put our science data in to keep track of our work. Every representation has a title and labels.

Have a good weekend, Jackson and Jordan.b
