Short Week-January 2 and 3

Olivia shared about how she is getting a new puppy.

For math we are working on angles. We are playing with Power Polygons to help us build background knowledge so we can build angles!

This is a students work. We are working on right angles and ways to make right angles out of power polygons. Did you know that a right angle measures 90 degrees?

Emma is reading us her story that she wrote called Cracked Egg.

We are watching a second step video in guidance about strong emotions. We use our strategies to calm down.

Our class has good ideas on how to problem solve when you are upset.

We are persevering on our P.O.D. Working together and showing evidence to support our thinking is helpful!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY!!!!

We did a fun brain warm up at the start of math block! We practiced classifying angles.

We are working with Power Polygons to make new angles.

We have been having fun programming! Ask us about coding on Khan Academy!

We are doing a readers theater to help our fluency! We performed it today!

One of the articles in our weekly reader connects to the Titanc article we've been reading during readers workshop. It was about a violin that got sold in an auction that was a legacy from the Titanic.

Have a nice weekend!

Bella and Kayla
